𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 Part 7

After 3 months of struggling with the riding I had enough. The osteopath had come back and she was still super sore on her back muscles. We took a look at her saddle and it turned out her saddle did not fit at all. A huge part of our problems came from that. Unfortunately my stubborness had also caused Pura to become more tense and unsound.

I really needed to take a step back. So I called my trainer and said '𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞, I will start lunging her.. '

She was really tense and stressed in the lungwork, I got recommended to work with a chambon to help her out. The chambon works into the corners of the mouth while putting some pressure behind the ears. This incentives the horse to lower the head and open up the throat. Because you work into the corners of the mouth when they throw their heads up and releases as soon as the bring the head down it only interferes when it's really needed. It also helps them think towards the contact.

It all was a bit rusty and nowhere near to what I was going for..
